Trip Highlights

TRAVELER LOVE

I love travelling solo (obviously) but there have been times when I wished I'd had someone there to just stand next to while I stare in awe at whatever wonder we're beholding. And it occurred to me that not only would I have some dope ass ladies to share this excitement with and ready-made reminiscing buddies, but that there's no way I would have done enough research to know to go to the Arusha airport and get fleeced for souvenirs that you don't even want but how could you not you're in Tanzania!!! Truly the experiences and moments got way bigger and better as the trip went on, but it was this first itty bitty moment of smiling with a bunch of new friends, from above the Great Migration, that I was like oh hell yeah this is gonna be dope. And it was!!!!!!

Your Kenya, Tanzania, & Zanzibar Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Nairobi!
Kenya SoFe Meetup Tour

Airport pickup, hotel check-in, group dinner

Touch down in Nairobi, where your local team will be waiting to welcome you to East Africa. From the airport, you’ll transfer to a comfortable, centrally located hotel surrounded by gardens and city views, a calm landing spot after a long journey.

Once you’ve had time to shower, unpack, and exhale, we’ll come together for our first group dinner. This is where strangers start turning into travel companions. Over classic East African dishes, you’ll meet the women you’ll be sharing safaris, sunsets, and stories with over the next two weeks.

No plans to memorize names yet. Just good food, warm conversation, and the quiet excitement of knowing the adventure officially starts tomorrow.

Meals: dinner

Into the Rift Valley and your first safari

After breakfast, we leave Nairobi behind and drive through the Great Rift Valley, one of the most dramatic landscapes in East Africa. Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking the escarpment, where the land seems to open up in every direction.

By afternoon, it’s time for your first game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park is known for its rich birdlife and big wildlife sightings, including white and black rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, and, if conditions are right, its famous flamingos gathering along the lake’s edge. This is your introduction to safari life: eyes scanning the horizon, cameras ready, and that moment when you realize this is actually happening.

Later, we’ll check in at Nakuru Sopa Lodge, perched on a hill overlooking the park. As the sun dips low, enjoy dinner with sweeping views across the landscape before settling in for the night.

Tomorrow brings more wildlife.

Tonight, you fall asleep to your first sounds of Africa.

Meals: breakfast and lunch

Travel Time: Approx 6 hours

Savannah landscapes and game drives

After breakfast, we continue on toward the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the most legendary wildlife regions in Africa. The drive takes you through wide-open savannah, dotted with acacia trees and the kind of landscapes that feel instantly familiar from nature documentaries.

Along the way, keep your eyes open. Wildlife sightings often begin long before reaching the park gates.

You’ll enjoy a game drive en route to camp, your first true immersion into the Mara. This vast ecosystem is home to lions, elephants, cheetahs, and countless other species that move freely across the plains.

By late afternoon, arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge and settle into your tented room with an en-suite bathroom, blending the feeling of safari with real comfort.

As evening falls, dinner is served at camp. Then it’s time to unwind, swap first safari stories, and listen to the distant sounds of wildlife drifting through the night.

This is the Masai Mara.
And tomorrow, it gets even better.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Travel Time: approx 4 hours

Wildlife viewing, picnic lunch, classic safari day

Today is a full day on safari in the Masai Mara, timed to coincide with the Great Migration, one of the most extraordinary wildlife events on Earth.

This is when massive herds of wildebeest and zebra move across the plains in search of fresh grazing, drawing predators close behind. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas follow the movement, creating some of the most dynamic wildlife viewing anywhere in the world.

You’ll spend the day on extended game drives, following migration routes and areas known for intense wildlife activity. The pace is unhurried, allowing time to observe, wait, and take in moments that don’t exist on a schedule.

A picnic lunch inside the park offers a pause beneath wide-open skies before continuing the afternoon drive, when the light softens and the Mara often comes alive again.

By evening, return to camp for dinner and rest, your day filled with scenes you’ve likely only seen on screen until now.

Scenic drive, free evening

This morning, we make our way back to Nairobi, easing back into city life after the rhythm of safari.

We’ll check in at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, where the afternoon is completely open. Lounge by the pool, grab a drink, journal, or do absolutely nothing at all.

This day is designed as a breather, giving your body and mind time to reset before the adventure continues.

Meals: breakfast

Travel Time: approx 4 hours

Border crossing, countryside views, boutique stay

After breakfast, we travel south and cross the border into Tanzania, watching the landscape shift as we make our way toward Arusha.

By afternoon, arrive at Zawadi House Arusha, a charming boutique guesthouse tucked into lush gardens with views of Mount Meru rising in the distance. It’s the kind of place that immediately slows you down.

The evening is intentionally quiet. Time to shower, unpack, journal, or sit outside as the light fades. After the intensity of the Mara, this night is about rest and reset before heading into Tanzania’s next safari region.

Tomorrow, the adventure continues. Tonight, you breathe.

SOFE IN SASA FOUNDATION

Meaningful Moments in Arusha

Today offers a different side of Tanzania, one rooted in people, creativity, and purpose.

You’ll spend the day visiting local community initiatives in Arusha, including the SASA Foundation and Shanga, where artisans with disabilities transform recycled materials into glassware, jewelry, and home décor.

This is a chance to step beyond the safari vehicle and into everyday life, meeting the individuals behind the work and learning how these initiatives support sustainable livelihoods and independence.

After time to explore the workshops, return to Zawadi House for a relaxed evening.

Meals: breakfast and lunch

Elephants, baobab trees, first Tanzania safari

Today we head to Tarangire National Park, a landscape known for its massive baobab trees and some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania.

After arrival, you’ll head out on a game drive, following the Tarangire River, where wildlife naturally gathers. Expect sightings of elephants moving in family groups, along with giraffes, wildebeest, lions, and a wide variety of birdlife. The park feels raw and less crowded, with a quieter, more rugged energy than the days before.

As evening approaches, we’ll check in at Tarangire Conserve Camp, an eco-friendly tented camp set deep in the bush. Dinner is served under the open sky, followed by a night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

This is one of those evenings that reminds you exactly where you are.

Crater descent, Big Five territory

Today takes you into one of the most remarkable natural environments in Africa.

After breakfast, we drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the road climbs through misty highlands before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater itself. Inside the caldera, wildlife lives year-round in one contained ecosystem, creating some of the most consistent and rewarding safari viewing anywhere.

You’ll spend the morning exploring the crater floor on a half-day game drive, surrounded by towering walls and sweeping grasslands that feel completely removed from the outside world.

Later, we continue on to Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge, nestled among rolling coffee plantations near Karatu. Dinner and a peaceful evening at the lodge round out the day.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Travel Time: approx 2 hours

Flight, historic town walk, oceanfront stay

This morning, we transfer to the airport or airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar, trading dusty roads and wildlife for ocean air and island time.

On arrival, you’ll enjoy a guided walk through Stone Town, winding through narrow alleyways and historic landmarks that tell the story of Zanzibar’s layered past. It’s vibrant, atmospheric, and completely different from anything you’ve experienced so far on the trip.

Afterward, we head to the coast and check into Sunrise at Bandas, a relaxed beachfront property where the pace immediately slows. The rest of the evening is yours. Walk along the sand, watch the sky change colors, or simply sit by the ocean and do nothing at all.

Safari boots off. Flip-flops on.

Today is completely yours.

Sleep in. Swim. Stretch out on the beach. Wander down the shore or head out to explore nearby reefs. There’s no schedule today, just the gentle rhythm of island life and the luxury of not needing to be anywhere.

Sunrise at Bandas is intentionally simple and quiet, the kind of place that invites you to slow down and let the last two weeks settle in.

In the evening, we’ll come together for a farewell dinner, a chance to share stories, laugh about the moments that already feel legendary, and say proper goodbyes after an extraordinary journey together.

The kind of night that reminds you why traveling with the right people matters.

HAND-PICKED ACCOMMODATION

Where you stay matters, especially on a journey like this.

Each accommodation on this trip is carefully chosen for its setting, comfort, and sense of place, from safari lodges surrounded by wildlife to quiet beachfront stays in Zanzibar.

You’ll experience a blend of tented camps, boutique hotels, and nature-forward lodges, designed to bring you closer to the landscapes you’ve traveled so far to see.

Rooms are shared with a fellow solo female traveler, and we’ll thoughtfully match you so no one is ever forced into a single supplement. If you’d like your own space, single room upgrades are available depending on availability.

The photos below offer a glimpse into the types of properties you can expect throughout the journey.

Mara SOPA Lodge 1
Mara SOPA Lodge

It’s perched high above the Masai Mara, which means big views, epic sunsets, and that “wow, we’re really here” feeling the moment you arrive.

The rooms are classic safari style with private verandas, perfect for winding down after long days in the park. It’s comfortable, atmospheric, and exactly the kind of place where evenings feel just as memorable as the game drives.

zawadi-house-09
Zawadi House

This place feels more like staying at a beautiful home than a hotel.

Surrounded by gardens and backed by views of Mount Meru, it’s quiet and very welcoming. The staff make you feel genuinely cared for, and the slower rhythm here creates space to rest, reflect, and reconnect before the adventure continues.

Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas (1)
Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas

Set right on the beach, this is a simple, soulful place where mornings start with the sound of the ocean and evenings end with cotton candy skies.

The bandas are open, breezy, and steps from the sand, making it easy to move between your room, the water, and a shady spot with a book.

We match you with your most compatible roommate

We get it, sharing a room with a stranger can feel like a gamble. That’s why we’ve partnered with a professional matchmaker and psychologist to create a bespoke roommate matching quiz, designed to pair you with someone you’ll actually click with.

Whether you’re an early riser or a night owl, a social butterfly or someone who values quiet time, our quiz helps ensure you’re matched with the best possible roommate. And if you prefer your own space, you always have the option to upgrade to a private room.

No stress or awkward surprises, just a trip made better by great company.

When we find them, the world seems to pause. The drive not only increases our chances of seeing lions up close, but also offers insight into their movements, behavior, and the conservation work protecting these powerful predators.

After lunch, we’ll trade land for water on a private boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway teems with life—hippos wallowing in the shallows, elephants cooling off at the edge, crocodiles basking in the sun, and an incredible variety of birdlife overhead.

Your guide will show you how to haggle like a local and point out the best spots to find truly unique souvenirs that give back to local artisans.

It’s a lighthearted, joyful way to wrap up our journey — celebrating the creativity, rhythm, and warmth of Uganda before we head home with our hearts (and suitcases) a little fuller.

Frequently Asked Questions About Uganda

Arrival:
Kigali International Airport (KGL) in Rwanda

We recommend that you arrive by 3pm in order to have plenty of time to settle in before the welcome meeting at 6pm. That being said, your airport pickup is included any time that you arrive on Day 1.  Our driver will take you from the airport to our group hotel in Kigali. If fellow travelers arrive around the same time, we’ll bring you to the hotel together.

Departure:
Entebbe International Airport (EBB) in Uganda

Hotel check out is at 10am. You are welcome to leave any time today. Ask your guide to help you arrange a ride to the airport or share a transfer with fellow travelers.

Please note that your arrival airport is different than your departure airport.

  • International airfares
  • Visa fee if applicable
  • Travel insurance (mandatory for all travelers)
  • Airport drop off
  • Driver/guide tips
  • Any meals not listed under inclusions
  • Any optional activities as indicated in the itinerary
  • Important Booking Note
A $1,300 deposit is required to secure your spot on this trip. This deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable because, once booked, we must immediately purchase your wildlife tracking permits—these permits sell out quickly and cannot be reserved in advance.

    • A non-refundable $1,300 deposit is required to hold your spot.
    • Final payment is due 90 days before departure.
    • Pay as much as often as you like until the due date.
    • If you cancel your spot earlier than 90 days before departure, you can apply your payment to any trip within the next year.
    • No refunds on deposits.

Yes, nearly all nationalities will need a visa to travel to Rwanda & Uganda.

    Entry to Rwanda

You will need to purchase a 72-hour transit visa on arrival in Rwanda. This costs $30. Prior online application is not required.

    Entry to Uganda

For Uganda, online application and approval in advance is mandatory. It is not possible to purchase a visa for Uganda on arrival.

    • The visa for Uganda is $50 (visa, ‘Uganda Ordinary/Tourist visa’, single entry) and can be applied for through https://visas.immigration.go.ug/
    • Most visas will be processed within 2-3 working days, but we recommend to apply and pay 4-6 weeks prior to arrival. This is because we regularly find that the system is down for a couple of days, payments don’t always work directly, and Uganda has a lot of public holidays which can cause delays as well. Applying in time can avoid stressful situations.
    • A Yellow Fever Vaccination is required. You will need to upload a proof of vaccination when applying for their visa.
    • If you wish to apply for an East Africa visa, you can only do this through the country where you enter first. In this case, you enter first in Rwanda. However, as you are only transiting in Rwanda, it is cheaper and easier to get the visas separately.

The itinerary is subject to change due for any reason – weather, unexpected cancellations, impromptu local opportunities, or surprise additions.

All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions.

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory or you may be refused to join the tour. See our guide for help choosing a plan.

Our tours are comfortable and very inclusive with premium accommodation. This means you can pack a little lighter. In fact, you will be carrying your own bags to the lobby or at the airport, and you will need to be able to manage.

    TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

    TRAVELER LOVE

“I’m 100% going to book another trip, although this one will be hard to beat. This trip was everything and more I could ever ask for. I watched the sunrise over the Sahara, swam in the Nile AND the Red Sea, and danced to the sound of Nubian drums on a felucca at sunset on the Nile. How could a girl ever ask for more? This trip was the perfect blend of history and education, culture, great food, bucket list items completed, and topped off with even better company.”

    Why Choose SoFe Travel?

    Built for Solo Women

Every trip is designed specifically for solo female travelers. That means no awkward third wheels, justinstant community, shared values & support.

    Real Connection

Almost everyone arrives solo, and 92% of our travelers stay in touch long after the trip ends. It’s not just a tour, it’s a chance to make lifelong friendships in some of the world’s most unforgettable places.

    Space to Breathe

We build in solo time, always. Want to wander a market alone? Go for it. Prefer a travel buddy? There's always someone ready to join you. You do you, with the comfort of community when you want it.

    No Forced Single Supplements

Forget the extra fees. Our roommate matching quiz pairs you with a like-minded traveler, or you can upgrade to a private room if you prefer.

Is The Egypt Tour Right for you?

    Overnight on a felucca

Our felucca is brand new with individual beds, mosquito nets, and western style bathrooms. The idea of sleeping on a boat may put some people out of their comfort zone, but it's one of the most special experiences. The boat is docked and still all night.

    MODESTY & LOCAL CUSTOMS

Egypt is a conservative country, and respectful dress is important in many areas. You don’t need to cover your hair, but loose-fitting clothes that cover shoulders and knees are recommended in public spaces.

    FOOD & DIETARY NEEDS

Expect flavorful Egyptian dishes like falafel, koshari, and grilled meats. Most meals include vegetarian options, but strict dietary needs (like vegan or gluten-free) may require extra snacks or flexibility. We’ll do our best, but local offerings vary.

    Your Egypt Itinerary

Day 1 - WELCOME TO Cairo!
SoFe Egypt Meetup Tour May 2021-2-2

Arrive in Egypt’s capital and dive right into local life with a guided food tour and your first taste of Cairo.

Your VIP escort will greet you at the airport and take you through the visa process and into Cairo, where our gorgeous hotel awaits. In the evening, we’ll hit the streets for a local-led food tour, slipping into bustling alleyways and tucked-away cafés most travelers never find. Guided by our Egyptologist, we’ll taste Cairo one plate at a time, learning the stories behind every spice, every sizzling grill, every sweet bite.

    Meals: dinner

Stand face to face with the Pyramids and Sphinx, then explore Egypt’s newest treasure: the Grand Egyptian Museum.

After breakfast and our welcome meeting, we’re off to meet the legends. On a short drive from Cairo, our Egyptologist will bring the past to life with stories of pharaohs, power, and a few ancient mysteries as the Pyramids of Giza rise on the horizon. Standing before these impossibly perfect tombs, you’ll see why they’ve defied time for over 4,000 years.

We’ll stroll over to the Sphinx next—part lion, part human, and entirely photogenic (go ahead, give him a cheeky kiss for the camera). After some time to wander and take it all in, we’ll gather for a traditional Egyptian feast at one of SoFe’s favorite local lunch spots.

The afternoon takes us to the dazzling new Grand Egyptian Museum, a masterpiece of modern architecture and a love letter to Egypt’s past. Inside, you’ll stand face-to-face with the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun’s tomb—many unveiled to the public for the very first time. With cutting-edge displays and awe-inspiring galleries, history here doesn’t just sit behind glass—it surrounds you.

    Meals: breakfast and lunch

    Egypt kiss
    woman in egypt cairo mosque

Explore Cairo’s spiritual heart, wander a bustling bazaar, and roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Egyptian cooking class.

This morning, we step inside the graceful arches of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun, Cairo’s oldest surviving mosque and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Here, a female NGO representative will share the beauty of Islam through her own eyes—how women are woven into the faith, and how its traditions shape daily life. Nothing’s off-limits—ask the questions you’ve always wondered. Then, climb the spiral stairs to the mosque’s minaret for sweeping city views, or linger to take in the intricate carvings and calm courtyards.

From there, we plunge into the lively labyrinth of Khan El Khalili Market, Egypt’s largest bazaar. Wandering its narrow alleys, we’ll pass stalls spilling over with brass lamps, colorful spices, handcrafted jewelry, and the scent of fresh Egyptian street food.

Our journey continues into Coptic Cairo, where layers of history and faith overlap. In the famous Hanging Church—built above the gates of a Roman fortress—you’ll stand where Christians have worshiped for over a millennium. And for the grand finale, we’ll trade sightseeing for cooking knives. In a hands-on class, you’ll learn to prepare a classic Egyptian dish before sitting down together to enjoy the feast you’ve created.

    Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Fayoum Desert Adventure & Pottery Class

This morning, we swap Cairo’s chaos for the stillness of the Fayoum Desert. In our 4x4s, we’ll roll over soft golden dunes to the Valley of the Whales, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where ancient whale fossils—perfectly preserved—rest in the open sands, telling stories from a time when this desert was underwater.

We’ll pause at windswept lookout points before spreading out a picnic by the Magic Lake, its turquoise waters glowing against the surrounding cliffs. Thrill-seekers can grab a sandboard and race the dunes, while the rest of us soak in the view.

As the day cools, we’ll trade sand for clay in a hands-on pottery workshop, shaping our own creations using techniques locals have passed down for generations. Tonight, dinner is your choice—stay in and savor the quiet, or join your guide for a lively local meal in town.

From Fayoum to Aswan & Nubian Village Arrival

After breakfast, we’ll leave Fayoum behind and return to Cairo for our flight south to Aswan. When we land, it’s a short drive to our hotel in a quiet Nubian village along the Nile—brightly painted homes, shaded streets, and the kind of welcome that makes you want to linger.

The rest of the day is yours. Walk along the riverbank, browse small shops, chat with locals, or just sit back at the hotel and take in the stillness of the water.

    Meals: breakfast

Optional Abu Simbel & Free Time in the Nubian Village

This morning, you can opt to visit Abu Simbel—an ancient wonder carved into the sandstone cliffs and guarded by four colossal statues of Ramses II. It’s an early start (around 4:15 am) and a long, quiet drive through the desert, where the horizon slowly turns gold. Standing in front of the temple as the sun warms the stone is worth every mile.

We’ll be back in Aswan by early afternoon, with the rest of the day free to enjoy the Nubian village. Wander its colorful streets, where the scent of spices drifts from open doorways, browse stalls for handmade crafts, or settle into a shaded café along the Nile and listen to the water lapping against the shore.

Philae Temple & Overnight Felucca Cruise

After breakfast, we’ll take a small boat across the water to Philae Temple—a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis and hidden away on an island in the Nile. With its delicate carvings and quiet courtyards, it feels worlds away from the rush of the city.

In the afternoon, we’ll step aboard our traditional felucca for an overnight sail. Life slows to the rhythm of the river as we drift past palm groves and sleepy riverside villages. By sunset, we’ll anchor along the countryside, where a bonfire crackles and the scent of spices drifts from a home-cooked Nubian feast. Eating by the fire on the Nile’s shore is nothing short of magical—made even richer by the music, stories, and warmth of the villagers who welcome us. When the night winds down, you’ll fall asleep beneath a blanket of stars, the gentle sway of the felucca rocking you into dreams.

    Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Walk through towering columns and carved sphinxes as we explore Egypt’s most iconic temples in Karnak and Luxor.

Today, we step into one of Egypt’s most awe-inspiring wonders—the Temple of Karnak. The second-largest temple complex in the world, Karnak feels like a city of stone. We’ll wander its vast courtyards, craning our necks at towering columns carved top to bottom in ancient hieroglyphs, pass beneath obelisks that pierce the sky, and imagine the sacred offerings once placed in its grand hall.

From here, we continue to the elegant Luxor Temple, where centuries of history unfold in its graceful columns and sweeping courtyards. The approach alone is unforgettable—an avenue lined with hundreds of stone sphinxes guiding us to its entrance.

Begin the day with an optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor, lifting off before sunrise as the first light spills over the Nile, the temples, and the desert stretching to the horizon. It’s a quiet, unforgettable way to see Egypt from above.

After breakfast, we’ll step into the Valley of the Kings, where vivid wall paintings still guard the tombs of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. From there, we’ll stand before the sweeping terraces of the Temple of Hatshepsut, built for Egypt’s most powerful female ruler, and pause at the Colossi of Memnon—two massive statues that have kept watch for more than 3,000 years.

In the evening, we’ll fly from Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh, then make the short drive to Dahab, a relaxed coastal town on the Red Sea that will be our base for the next few days.

    Meals: breakfast, lunch

Blue Hole Snorkeling & Bedouin Desert Dinner

After breakfast, we’ll make our way to the Blue Hole—one of the world’s most legendary snorkeling and diving spots. Slip into the clear, warm water and find yourself surrounded by vibrant coral walls and schools of shimmering fish. With all gear and park fees included, all you have to do is float, breathe, and take it all in.

As evening falls, we’ll head deep into the desert for a Bedouin-style BBQ dinner. Candlelight dances on the mountain walls while the scent of grilled food drifts through the cool night air. Under a sky crowded with stars, we’ll share a meal, a quiet moment, and the kind of stillness you only find far from the city.

Most countries, including the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia, are able to get a visa upon arrival to Egypt. In fact, we recommend getting it on arrival because the process is straightforward and fast. With the VIP service that we have arranged for our travelers on day 1, our airport escort will walk you through the entire process.

All you need to get an Egyptian visa on arrival is your passport and $25 USD in cash. The rest is super simple. If you are not a US passport holder, please check to be sure your country qualifies for a visa upon arrival, but the majority of them do.

    Why Choose SoFe Travel?

    Safety You Can Count On

Morocco can feel overwhelming alone. With SoFe, you’re never by yourself unless you want to be. Our expert local guides, vetted routes, and women-first approach mean you can relax and actually enjoy every moment.

    Built for Solo Women

Every trip is created specifically for solo female travelers. No awkward third wheels, no feeling like the odd one out. Instead there's instant community and support from Day One.

    Real Connection

Almost everyone arrives solo, and 92% of our travelers stay in touch long after the trip ends. It’s not just a tour. It’s a chance to make lifelong friendships in some of the world’s most unforgettable places.

    No Forced Single Supplements

Forget the extra fees. Our roommate matching quiz pairs you with a like-minded traveler, or you can upgrade to a private room if you prefer your own space.

Is The Morocco Tour Right for you?

    Long drives

To get from the pink alleys of Marrakech to the golden dunes of the Sahara or the mountain villages of the High Atlas, you'll spend hours on the road. We travel in private, air-conditioned vehicles with plenty of stops, but if you hate road trips, this might not be the destination for you.

    Sensory Overload

Morocco is vibrant, loud, colorful, and sometimes chaotic—in the best way. But if you’re sensitive to noise, strong smells (hello, spice markets and tanneries), crowds, or aggressive sales tactics in markets, it can be overwhelming. You’ll need a sense of humor and flexibility to enjoy it fully.

    Conservative dress code

Morocco is a Muslim country, and while it's welcoming to travelers, it’s still conservative. Dressing modestly is a must in many areas, especially outside big cities.

    Your Morocco Itinerary

Day 1 - WELCOME TO CASABLANCA!
    Solo Female Tour Morocco

From airport pickup to a friendly welcome meeting and shared Moroccan dinner, your adventure begins.

Salam Alaykoum! Welcome to Morocco—a land of spice-filled souks, layered history, and riads so beautiful they feel like secret worlds. Touch down in Casablanca, where the buzz of the city greets you with honking taxis, palm-lined boulevards, and cafés spilling over with locals sipping mint tea. Our driver will meet you at the airport and take you straight to the hotel.

This evening, meet your fellow travelers at the 6pm welcome meeting, then share your first Moroccan meal together—perhaps fragrant tagine slow-cooked with saffron and apricots, fluffy couscous, or warm bread dipped in olive oil and spice. It’s the perfect beginning to the journey ahead.

    Meals: dinner

Tour of Hassan II mosque, arrival at The Blue City & solo time

This morning, breathe in the salt-kissed air as you stand beside the Hassan II Mosque, rising from the Atlantic with soaring marble minarets that seem to touch the sky. Its walls glow with geometric mosaics, carved wood detailing, and gilded ceilings—the kind of craftsmanship that stops you mid-breath.

Then we leave the coast behind and journey into the Rif Mountains, arriving in Chefchaouen, the legendary Blue City. Wandering its medina is like stepping into a dream—alleys awash in shades of blue, where every turn invites you to pause, snap a photo, and get lost in the beauty. The mountain air is fresh and cool, bringing calm where bigger cities often feel chaotic.

Here, the rhythm shifts. Spend your afternoon exploring on your own—maybe trace the blue walls up to Uta Hammam Square, discover hidden shops full of wool blankets and goat cheese, or catch the golden sunset from the Spanish Mosque overlooking the medina.

Your day in Chefchaouen—solo time & local experiences

Today is yours to soak up Chefchaouen’s endless shades of blue. Wander the maze of painted alleys with your camera in hand, pause at a café to watch daily life unfold, or sip mint tea while chatting with a friendly local.

If you’re in the mood for more, we’ve got plenty of optional adventures: a guided photo walk, a visit with a henna artist, an afternoon exploring hidden corners of the medina, or even a hike up into the hills for sweeping views of the Blue Pearl from above. However you spend it, Chefchaouen is the kind of place that invites you to slow down, explore, and let the day carry you.

    Meals: breakfast

    Visit Volubilis, a pilgrimage village & a home-cooked meal

This morning, step onto the ancient stones of Volubilis, where the Roman Empire once thrived at the edge of Africa. Imagine life here centuries ago as you wander through mosaic-lined villas, old bathhouses, bustling marketplaces, and crumbling archways still standing proud against the hills.

Next, travel to the sacred village of Moulay Idriss, Morocco’s holiest town, where whitewashed houses climb the hillside in every direction. Here, you’ll be welcomed into a local home for a warm, home-cooked lunch, sharing food and conversation that go far beyond the guidebooks.

By afternoon, journey on to the magnificent city of Fes. Settle into our dreamy riad, a place of tiled courtyards and lantern-lit corners, and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Explore Fes with a female guide, share pastilla in a family home, and enjoy a surprise treat

Today, set out on a female-led walking tour of Fes el Bali, the old city where time feels suspended. Step into the labyrinthine medina, one of the largest car-free zones in the world, alive with the calls of craftsmen, the fragrance of spice stalls, the shimmer of brass lamps, and the hum of daily life.

Along the way, visit the Medresse el Attarine, an architectural jewel of intricate zellij tilework, and the Funduk Nejjarine, a beautifully restored 18th-century inn turned museum of woodcraft. Peek into the famous tannery, where vats of jewel-colored dye create one of Morocco’s most iconic sights, and stop at a ceramics workshop, where potters shape and glaze by hand, just as they’ve done for centuries.

This evening, you’ll be welcomed into a local family’s home for dinner. Savor Fes’s signature dish—pastilla, a delicate pastry filled with spiced meat, dusted with sugar and cinnamon—before the women of the house surprise you with something special.

    Sahara Desert & Solo time

Today we set out on an epic road trip to Erfoud, the fabled gateway to the Sahara. The journey unfolds over 6.5 scenic hours (plus plenty of stops!), carrying us through rugged mountains, fertile valleys, and wide-open plains that showcase Morocco’s wild beauty. Each turn of the road reveals a new, dramatic landscape that reminds you just how vast this country truly is.

By evening, we arrive in Erfoud, where the desert air carries a new kind of stillness. The night is yours: stroll the lively streets, sip on a glass of sweet mint tea, or simply rest and recharge for tomorrow’s adventure into the dunes.

Sunset camel ride, desert dinner & luxury glamping

This morning, step into the rhythms of Khemliya, a desert village known for its Gnawa music, rich traditions, and warm hospitality. Wander its sandy lanes on a guided walk before rolling up your sleeves for a medfouna cooking demo. Often called “desert pizza,” this hearty dish is baked in the sand itself—an experience that’s as authentic as it is delicious. Enjoy your creation over lunch, seasoned with stories and laughter from the locals who welcome you in.

As the afternoon sun softens, climb onto a camel for a sunset ride into the sweeping dunes of the Sahara. The light turns the sand into waves of gold as you sway deeper into the desert’s silence. After an hour, arrive at your luxury desert camp, where lanterns flicker, a warm dinner awaits, and the night sky reveals a canopy of endless stars.

Chasing the colors of desert and canyon

Wake early to watch the Sahara come alive at sunrise, when the dunes shift from soft purple to blazing gold in a show of color you’ll never forget. After breakfast, leave camp behind and set out on a spectacular drive through the Todra Gorge—towering limestone cliffs that rise nearly 400 meters above you, carved over centuries by the river below. We’ll stop often to stretch, snap photos, and simply take in the scale of this natural wonder.

By afternoon, continue on to Skoura, an oasis town surrounded by a vast palm grove. This peaceful haven will be our home for the night—an idyllic pause before the next adventure.

This morning, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class in Skoura, where local women guide you through the art of preparing slow-cooked couscous and delicate Moroccan pastries. While the couscous steams, sit down over mint tea to share stories and laughter with your hosts. Then comes the best part—feasting together on the dishes you’ve made.

In the afternoon, step into history with a walk through Ait Benhaddou, the UNESCO-listed ksar whose mudbrick kasbahs have starred in films from Gladiator to Game of Thrones. Afterwards, continue on to Marrakech, where the evening is yours to explore, unwind, or dive straight into the city’s dazzling energy.

Guided tour of Marrakech old medina & workshop at Alnour Association

Oh, Marrakech—it’s impossible not to fall under its spell. This morning, we’ll visit the Alnour Association, a remarkable social enterprise where women with disabilities create intricate textiles and embroidery. You’ll see their craft firsthand, hear their stories, and know that your visit helps support their independence and artistry.

From there, dive into the city’s treasures: the ornate Bahia Palace, the peaceful Jardin Secret, the fragrant spice markets, and the soaring Koutoubia Mosque.

This afternoon and evening, the city is yours. Get lost in the tangle of souks, sip mint tea in a quiet courtyard, or let the calls to prayer and swirl of street performers carry you into the night. End the day on a rooftop terrace with a view of the medina, a glass of wine in hand as the city glows below.

    Hand-picked Accommodation

On this journey, we’ve handpicked riads and hotels full of charm, comfort, and local character. A riad is a traditional Moroccan home built around a central courtyard—often with mosaic tiles, leafy greenery, and the soft trickle of a fountain. From the outside they’re hidden behind simple doors in the medina, but step inside and you’ll find a quiet oasis that feels worlds away from the busy streets.

Picture yourself on a rooftop terrace with the call to prayer echoing across the skyline, or curled up in a lantern-lit corner scented with orange blossom. Staying in a riad isn’t just accommodation—it’s an experience, and often one of the most magical memories of Morocco.

    RIAD SAYEDA AI HORA, FES

Tucked deep inside the winding alleys of the Fès medina, Riad Sayeda Al Hora feels like stepping into another world. Sunlight spills across tiled courtyards, lanterns glow softly at night, and the hum of the city fades the moment you walk through the door. It’s intimate, elegant, and designed for slowing down—a sanctuary where tradition meets comfort.

Morocco women-only tour Riyadh and Marrakesh.
    RIAD SAYEDA AI HORA, FES3

    LUXURY CAMP, SAHARA DESERT

Beautiful and comfortable, a night under the stars after a traditional Bedouin dinner is one you will never forget. Tents include a private bathroom, regular beds, and a sunset like you’ve never seen.

    2CIELS BOUTIQUE HOTEL, MARRAKESH

An urban oasis in the heart of Marrakech, 2Ciels Hotel Boutique is a peaceful retreat that blends the traditions and prestige of the Red City with bold, modern elegance. Behind its sunlit façade, you’ll find stylish, designer interiors that captivate from the moment you step into the lobby.

We match you with your most compatible roommate

We get it—sharing a room with a stranger can feel like a gamble.

No stress, no awkward surprises—just a trip made better by great company.
