Day 6
Luxor
Optional hot air balloon ride, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Colossi of Memnon
This morning, you can choose to wake up early for an optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor’s incredible landscape. Later, descend into the Valley of the Kings, where the grandeur of Egypt’s past comes to life in the intricate tombs of its greatest rulers. From there, we’ll visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, an awe-inspiring tribute to Egypt’s most visionary queen, set dramatically against the cliffs. To cap it off, we’ll stand before the Colossi of Memnon—two imposing statues that have weathered the centuries.
Meals: breakfast and lunch

Day 7
Hurghada, Red Sea
Solo time at the beach, optional sunset ATV ride
Time to make our way to the beach! Spend the day soaking up the beauty of the Red Sea’s turquoise waters and pristine beaches, with plenty of solo time to relax, swim, or explore at your own pace. If you’re looking for an adventure, opt for a thrilling sunset ATV ride across the desert. Feel the rush as you navigate sandy trails, with the fiery hues of the setting sun painting the horizon—a perfect way to end the day in this coastal paradise.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Day 8
Hurghada, Red Sea
Snorkel on the Red Sea!
Our second day in Hurghada kicks off with adventure! Hop on a boat and set sail into the stunning Red Sea, famous for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. Spend the day snorkeling among colorful coral reefs, where you’ll encounter a variety of exotic fish. With plenty of time to relax on deck, you can also enjoy the serene beauty of the sparkling seascape.
Note that the snorkeling trip is an optional activity and a full-day tour! If you decide to opt out, you can take a solo day relaxing at the beach or at our hotel.
Meals: breakfast and dinner

Day 9
Cairo
Mosque of Ibn Tulun, Coptic Cairo, Khan El Khalili Market, and cooking class
Visit the Mosque of Ibn Tulun and learn about Islam from a female NGO representative whose mission is to describe the beauty of Islam and how women fit into the religion. She will gladly answer any questions that we may have. Climb the stairs to the minaret to be rewarded with views over Cairo, or simply enjoy the intricate details of this beautiful mosque. We’ll finish the afternoon by exploring the biggest market in Egypt: Khan El Khalili Market. The winding alleyways of the market house souvenirs, gifts and Egyptian food.
Next, we’ll dive into history with a visit to Coptic Cairo, a district steeped in religious heritage. Here, we’ll visit the famous Hanging Church, one of the oldest Christian churches in Egypt, built atop the ancient gatehouse of a Roman fortress. To wrap up the day on a flavorful note, we’ll join a traditional cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare a classic Egyptian meal and end the day with a delicious homemade feast!
Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner

DO I NEED A VISA?
Most countries, including the USA, UK, and Australia, are able to get a visa upon arrival to Egypt. In fact, we recommend getting it on arrival because the process is straightforward and fast. With the VIP service that we have arranged for our travelers on day 1, our airport escort will walk you through the entire process.
All you need to get an Egyptian visa on arrival is your passport and $25 USD in cash. The rest is super simple. If you are not a US passport holder, please check to be sure your country qualifies for a visa upon arrival, but the majority of them do.
New Advice for Canadians entering Egypt after October 1st, 2023:
Change 1: As of 3rd Sep 2023, all Canadian travelers to Egypt will not be eligible to Visa on Arrival in Egypt and are required to apply for pre-entry visa in advance. Evisa is still valid for Canadian travelers until 30 Sep, however, it’s recommended that you obtain a visa from the nearest Egyptian Embassy or consulate prior to your departure.
Change 2: Starting October 1, 2023, Canadian passport holders will not be able to obtain a visa online before travelling to or upon arrival in Egypt. Visitors will be required to obtain a visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate abroad.
If visitors travel to Egypt on an electronic visa on or after October 1, 2023, their visa will be considered void, and they will be denied boarding and/or entry into Egypt.
Canadian travelers should contact the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate before travel
Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of clarity on exactly what is needed for Canadians to apply for a paper visa with the embassy or consulate but the contact details of the Egypt embassy and consulate in Canada can be found here.
WILL THIS ITINERARY CHANGE?
The itinerary is subject to change due for any reason – weather, unexpected cancellations, impromptu local opportunities, or surprise additions.
All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions.
HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory or you may be refused to join the tour. See our guide for help choosing a plan.
Domestic flights
On rare occasions, any domestic flight that we include in this trip may be changed or canceled with little notice. Remember, we cannot control the decisions that airlines make, so sometimes amendments will need to be made to our mode of transportation. Rest assured that if this happens, we will still get you to your destination. Part of the unique experience of traveling in any form is having the flexibility and grace to embrace detours.
