We leave Jaipur and make our way to Agra.

First stop is lunch at Sheroes Hangout Café, a restaurant run entirely by acid attack survivors. The food is delicious, but what makes this place special is the women themselves. By the time you leave, you’ll have see a first hand glimpse into a tough reality for too many women and supported a cause that changes lives.

Then, the Taj Mahal. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most breathtaking structures ever built, commissioned by a grieving emperor as a monument to his late wife. Sixteen thousand workers. Twenty-two years. Pure white marble inlaid with precious stones that catch the light differently at every hour. As the sun sinks in the late afternoon, the whole thing shifts from blinding white to warm gold to soft rose. You’ll stand in front of it and completely understand why people have been making this journey for 400 years.
