Payments, Deposits & Booking Terms

Payments, deposits

& Booking terms

Everything you need to know about securing your trip, paying with confidence, and what happens before departure.

We know planning an adventure should feel exciting (not confusing). Below is a simple breakdown of how payments work with us, written in plain English and with your peace of mind in mind.

How to pay

We accept major credit cards, which you enter securely and authorize us to charge the amounts due as outlined below.

You can pay as much as you want any time you want until your balance is due.

We also offer 3rd-party installments like Affirm and Klarna. Contact us after you have made your trip deposit, and our team can help set it up for you.

Secure Your Spot with a Deposit

To hold your place on a trip that starts more than 90 days away, we require a non-refundable $550 deposit at the time of booking. That deposit is your ticket in and confirms your spot on the adventure.

If your trip starts within 90 days* of booking, you’ll need to pay the full trip cost at checkout.

👉 For almost all tours, you may transfer your booking one time at no cost, just give us at least 91 days notice.

*A few destinations have different deposit amounts and payment terms, which will be clear at the top of the tour page.

Final Balance &

When It’s Due

For most trips, the remaining balance (the total minus your deposit) is due no later than 90 days before departure.

You can log into your account and make additional payments toward your balance at any time before the 90-day deadline. Some travelers prefer to chip away at their balance early and you’re welcome to do that!

If you need to cancel

If you cancel 91+ days before departure: Your deposit is non-refundable, but you may transfer your trip to a different date or destination once time at no extra cost. You may also ask us to hold your deposit until you’re ready to choose your new adventure.

If you cancel 90 days or fewer before departure: No refunds of deposit or balance, the best next step is to contact your travel insurance company.
