FROM BOLLYWOOD DANCE CLASSES TO TIGER SAFARIS, THIS WOMEN-ONLY TOUR STARTS WITH AN INVITATION TO AN
Indian Wedding
Book now with $550. Pay the rest at your pace.
14 days starting at $4,495 USD.
Up to 14 solo female travelers.
India hits you all at once — marigolds and frying spices, temple bells and car horns, color everywhere you look. It’s overwhelming and extraordinary, often in the same moment.
This trip was built around something no other tour company can offer: an invitation to a real Indian wedding. Not a demonstration. An actual ceremony with a real family in Agra, because when our guide’s cousin got engaged, we were invited. Now you are too.
You’ll get your hands painted with henna, learn Bollywood moves the night before the big day, wake up before dawn to look for tigers, and wrap your hands around a steaming chai in a stranger’s home in Delhi. You’ll sleep in an 18th-century fort and have lunch with women whose strength will stop you in your tracks.
Come ready for all of it.

Why Choose SoFe Travel?
Built for Solo Women
Every trip is designed specifically for solo female travelers. That means no awkward third wheels, no feeling like the odd one out—just instant community, shared values, and support from Day One.
Real Connection
Almost everyone arrives solo, and 92% of our travelers stay in touch long after the trip ends. It’s not just a tour—it’s a chance to make lifelong friendships in some of the world’s most unforgettable places.
Space to Breathe
We build in solo time, always. Want to wander a market alone or skip a group dinner for some quiet? Go for it. Prefer a travel buddy? There's always someone ready to join you. You do you—with the comfort of community when you want it.
No Forced Single Supplements
Forget the extra fees. Our roommate matching quiz pairs you with a like-minded traveler, or you can upgrade to a private room if you prefer your own space.
Is The India Meetup Tour Right for you?
Traditional and Boutique Accommodation
Many of our stays are heritage properties, converted palaces, and family-run guest houses. That means your room might be grand and sprawling, or it might be cozy and quirky. No two are the same, and that's part of the charm. If you need predictable and uniform, this probably isn't the trip for you.
A flexible itinerary
We have a thoughtful plan for every day, but India has a way of surprising you. Traffic, chaos, a spontaneous chai stop, a detour that turns into the best moment of the trip. Go with it. A good sense of humor and an open mind will take you far here.
Activity Level: Moderate
This trip includes walking tours, fort climbs, rickshaw rides, and wandering through lively markets. Expect to be on your feet a few hours a day, sometimes on uneven paths or stairs. We always build in time to rest, reflect, and recharge—but come prepared for a little adventure between tea breaks.
Your India Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Delhi!
Airport pickup, welcome meeting & your first taste of Indian food
Your India adventure starts the moment you land. You’ll be met at the airport and whisked to your hotel in the heart of Delhi, one of the world’s great cities, where Mughal monuments sit next to chaotic markets and the smell of spices hits you before you’ve even put your bags down.
At 5 PM, meet your travel crew for the first time over welcome drinks, then head out together for your first proper Indian meal.
Meals: dinner
Day 2 - OLD DELHI & A DINNER INSIDE A LOCAL HOME
Chai, samosas, a Sikh temple, spice market, rickshaw ride & an evening with a family
Step into the oldest part of the city, where the streets narrow, the energy cranks up, and every corner smells like something you want to eat. We’ll visit the stunning Golden Temple of Sikhs, weave through the famous spice market, and stop for samosas and chai because obviously.
That evening, you’re invited into a local family’s home for dinner. They’ll share their wedding story, flip through the album, and feed you incredibly well.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Day 3 - Jaipur, the Pink City
Travel to the Pink City, block printing demo, wedding shopping & a rickshaw ride through the markets
This morning we head to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s famous Pink City, where the buildings are literally rose-colored and the energy is completely different from Delhi. Settle in, take a breath, and then get ready to shop.
The afternoon kicks off with a block printing demo before heading to a warehouse full of the kind of fabrics, textiles, and jewelry that were made for a Indian wedding. If you want your outfit tailor-made for the wedding events, this is where it happens.
As the sun goes down, we pile into bright pink rickshaws driven by local women, zip through the illuminated market lanes, pass the glowing Albert Hall Museum, and stop for chai. These women run their own business and support their families doing it. It’s a joy to ride with them.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Drive Time: approx. 5 hours
Day 4 - Jaipur
Amber Palace, jewelry hunting & a Bollywood dance class
This morning we visit Amber Palace, a fortress of golden sandstone perched on a hillside just outside the city. The views from the top are the kind that make you stop mid-sentence.
Back in Jaipur, the afternoon is yours to hunt for jewelry. This city is famous for it, and you’ll quickly understand why.
Then comes the best possible way to spend an evening before a wedding: a Bollywood dance class. You’ll learn the moves, laugh a lot, and show up to the wedding ready to hold your own on the dance floor.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Day 5 - JAIPUR TO AGRA
Sheroes Hangout Café, the Taj Mahal at golden hour
We leave Jaipur and make our way to Agra.
First stop is lunch at Sheroes Hangout Café, a restaurant run entirely by acid attack survivors. The food is delicious, but what makes this place special is the women themselves. They won’t just take your order. They’ll pull up a chair, sit with you, and share their stories. By the time you leave, you’ll have see a first hand glimpse into a tough reality for too many women and supported a cause that changes lives.
Then, the Taj Mahal. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most breathtaking structures ever built, commissioned by a grieving emperor as a monument to his late wife. Sixteen thousand workers. Twenty-two years. Pure white marble inlaid with precious stones that catch the light differently at every hour. As the sun sinks in the late afternoon, the whole thing shifts from blinding white to warm gold to soft rose. You’ll stand in front of it and completely understand why people have been making this journey for 400 years.
We don’t want to spoil the rest of the story. You have to see it for yourself.
Meals: breakfast
Drive Time: approx. 5 hours
Day 6 - THE WEDDING BEGINS
Welcome by the wedding family, Mehendi ceremony & an evening of color and celebration
Today the wedding festivities kick off, and you’re not a tourist watching from the outside. You’re a guest.
SoFe has deep roots in India. Over the years we’ve built a team, partners, and genuine friendships here. So when our guide’s cousin announced he was getting married, we were invited. And naturally, we’re bringing you with us.
The day starts with a warm welcome from the wedding family, cocktails, conversation, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you’ve known these people for years.
In the afternoon, settle in for the Mehendi ceremony. Skilled henna artists will adorn your hands with intricate designs while you relax, chat, and soak up the atmosphere. In Indian tradition, the darker the henna, the deeper the love. Expect to be very loved.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Day 7 - THE WEDDING DAY
Morning at leisure, Agra Fort or carpet making, then the main event
This morning is yours. Sleep in, visit Agra Fort, or spend a couple of hours watching master weavers create the intricate hand-knotted carpets Agra is famous for. There’s no rush today. Save your energy.
Because tonight is the wedding.
The ceremony unfolds in a setting fit for royalty, all processions, vows, and ritual steeped in centuries of tradition. Then the reception opens up and it’s all fine food, live music, and a dance floor that nobody wants to leave. You’ll be dancing with people you just met and feeling like you’ve known them forever.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Day 8 - RANTHAMBORE
Scenic drive through the countryside, check in & an evening to unwind
The wedding is behind you. Time to breathe and see a totally different side of India.
We make our way through the Indian countryside to Ranthambore, home to one of the most celebrated national parks in the world and one of the best places on earth to spot a wild Bengal tiger. Today is just about arriving, settling into our beautiful resort, and letting the post-wedding glow carry you through the evening.
Lounge by the pool, wander the grounds, and get to bed at a reasonable hour. Tomorrow we’re up early.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Drive Time: approx. 4 hours
Day 9 - SAFARI DAY
Morning tiger safari through Ranthambore National Park & an afternoon at the resort
Up before dawn. Worth it.
We head into Ranthambore National Park in open-top vehicles as the forest comes alive around us. Monkeys, peacocks, crocodiles, ancient ruins half-swallowed by jungle, and if the morning is kind to us, a Bengal tiger moving through the trees. It’s the kind of silence where everyone stops talking at the same time.
Back at the resort, the rest of the day is completely yours. Swim, nap, sit in the shade with a cold drink. An optional second safari is available in the afternoon if you can’t get enough.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Day 10 - TORDI
Countryside drive, village life & a night in a 16th-century palace
Today we go somewhere most travelers never find.
Tordi Garh is a small, quiet village in the heart of Rajasthan that sees very few visitors. We’ll wander through the local markets, visit the old village temple, and spend time with the people who actually live here. After the wedding energy and the safari adrenaline, there’s something really grounding about a place this quiet and this unhurried.
Tonight you’ll sleep in a 16th-century palace, hosted by its owner. The walls have stories. Dinner is local, warm, and exactly what you need after a day like this.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
Drive Time: approx. 2 hours
Day 11 - JODHPUR, THE BLUE CITY
Drive to the Blue City & an evening stroll through the markets
We leave Tordi and head to Jodhpur, known as the Blue City for the maze of indigo-painted homes that spill down its hillsides. From certain viewpoints the whole city looks like it’s been dipped in ink.
Check in, get your bearings, and then head out for an evening wander around the famous clock tower and the markets that surround it. Good street food, good chaos, good introduction to one of Rajasthan’s most visually striking cities.
Meals: breakfast
Drive Time: approx. 2 hours
DAY 12 - JODHPUR
Mehrangarh Fort, Sardar Market, solo time & dinner at Sambhali Trust
This morning we visit Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest and most impressive forts in all of India. It rises 400 feet above the city on a rocky cliff, and once you’re inside, the carved sandstone walls and sweeping views over the blue rooftops below make it very clear why this place has stopped people in their tracks for 600 years.
The afternoon is yours. Lose yourself in Sardar Market, pick up last-minute treasures, or find a rooftop café and just sit with it all.
Tonight, dinner at Sambhali Trust, an organization empowering women and girls in Rajasthan through education and economic independence. The meal is wonderful. The company is even better.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
DAY 13 - JODHPUR TO DELHI
A short flight, a free afternoon, and a farewell dinner close it all out.
A short flight takes us back to Delhi for one last evening together.
By now you’ve attended a real Indian wedding, spotted tigers at dawn, slept in a 16th-century palace, and had henna drawn on your hands by a woman who told you her story. There’s a lot to talk about over dinner.
We’ll raise a glass, swap details, and say goodbye to India and each other, at least for now.
Meals: breakfast and dinner
DAY 14 - DEPARTURE
Last cup of chai. Final goodbyes. Check out by 10 AM.
It’s time to say goodbye to India, and to the new travel friends who now feel like old ones. After breakfast, we’ll check out and head to the airport. Share a ride with a fellow traveler or ask your guide to help arrange a transfer if you’re heading out on your own.
Meals: breakfast
HAND-PICKED ACCOMMODATION
Our stays in India are as full of character as the country itself. We’re talking a private plunge pool in the jungle outside Ranthambore, a fort in a village that barely appears on a map, and a palace in Jodhpur built for royalty in 1927. Every property is chosen because it adds something to the trip, not just a place to sleep.
Some rooms will surprise you. That’s the point.
Ranbanka Palace, Jaipur
Ranbanka Palace was built in 1927 for the Maharajadhiraj of Jodhpur and is India’s first certified heritage hotel. We love it because it still feels royal without feeling stuffy. Every room is different, some with antique four-poster beds, and the rooftop restaurant looks out over Mehrangarh Fort on one side and Umaid Bhawan Palace on the other. Do not skip the Ranbanka Thali, cooked by second-generation royal family chefs. You’ll think about it for weeks.
Bagh Serai, Ranthambore
Bagh Serai sits on the edge of Ranthambore National Park, surrounded by open land and the sounds of the forest. Nine private villas built from local earthen materials, each with its own plunge pool and an open-air shower under the stars. Peacocks wander the grounds, lotus ponds catch the light, and the food is grown right on the organic farm next door. After the wedding energy and the safari adrenaline, this is exactly the kind of place you need.
Tordigarh, Tordi
You simply cannot stay somewhere like this anywhere else. It’s an 18th-century fort at the edge of a quiet village, and the man who greets you at the door is a direct descendant of the family who built it. Rooms have stained glass windows, the vegetables on your dinner plate were grown on the property that morning, and if you wake up early enough, you can hike up to the fort at sunrise. Travelers tell us it ends up being their favorite night of the entire trip.
We match you with your most compatible roommate
We get it—sharing a room with a stranger can feel like a gamble. That’s why we’ve partnered with a professional matchmaker and psychologist to create a bespoke roommate matching quiz, designed to pair you with someone you’ll actually click with.
Whether you’re an early riser or a night owl, a social butterfly or someone who values quiet time, our quiz helps ensure you’re matched with the best possible roommate. And if you prefer your own space, you always have the option to upgrade to a private room.
No stress, no awkward surprises—just a trip made better by great company.
MEET Komal
YOUR GUIDE FOR THE TRIP
Komal has been working in the travel industry from past 10 years. She started her career in tourism as a tour guide at time when it was very rare for women to work in such a profession and hence became one of the first female guides in Delhi.
Komal is very passionate about India and its culture and that’s what she loves about her job too. She gets to introduce people to the real India and its people and change a lot of misconceptions that exist about India. 🙂
There’s a very interesting fact about the diversity of India, it is said India is so diverse that in every 100 kms the dialect, the culture, the taste of food, the lifestyle and even the way chai is made changes, isn’t that fascinating! Her aim is to uplift the local businesses and promote responsible travel in India where we can leave positive footprints wherever we go!
*things happen, so if it’s not Komal, you will have another incredible, experienced, and vetted guide.
