Forget the extra fees. Our roommate matching quiz pairs you with a like-minded traveler, or you can upgrade to a private room if you prefer your own space.

Is The Brazil Tour Right for you?

It's crowded

The bloco experience means being shoulder to shoulder with thousands of very happy strangers.

It's a party all day and all night

During Carnaval, Rio doesn't have an off switch, and neither does the neighborhood around your hotel.

Lots of free time

There are lots of cool inclusions, but free time here is a feature. If that sounds like a bug, one of our fuller itineraries might fit better.

Activity Level: Light

This trip involves walking tours, samba dancing, street parties, and full days out in Rio's summer heat. Expect to be on your feet and out late on Carnaval nights — this is a trip that asks you to show up with energy. The free mornings are built in so you can pace yourself and still make the most of every evening.

Your Brazil Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Rio!

Your arrival, your crew, and your first taste of Rio nightlife.

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro! After check-in, your tour leader and local guide will take you to a bar within walking distance of the hotel to help you get acclimated, go through the itinerary for the days ahead, and say “tin-tin”, that’s cheers in Brazil, to kick off the trip right. It’s a low-key, easy first night designed to get you comfortable with the city and the women you’ll be spending the next six days with.

Meals: dinner

A private samba lesson in Ipanema and front-row seats to the Winner’s Carnaval Parade.

You’ll walk to your samba lesson through streets that are already celebrating. It’s about 30 minutes each way with your guide, and there’s a decent chance you’ll run into a street party before you’ve even had lunch.

The lesson itself is a private hour in Ipanema. You will not be good at it. Nobody is good at it in one hour. But tonight you’ll recognize the steps, feel the rhythm, and understand what 70,000 people are losing their minds about.

Then, the main event. The Winners’ Parade at the Sambadrome, where the six top-scoring samba schools of Carnaval 2027 perform one more time. Champions only, no filler. You’ll have grandstand seats in Sector 7, shared transport there and back, and 13 women to lose your voice with. Floats the size of buildings. Drum sections you feel in your chest. Sequins doing things you didn’t know sequins could do.

Sleep in tomorrow. You’ll have earned it.

Meals: breakfast

bloco-rio

A guided Carnaval bloco experience and a night of bar hopping through Santa Teresa.

The morning is yours to sleep late, walk the beach, find coffee and watch Copacabana wake up slower than usual.

Then you’re back in it. Your guide takes you into a bloco, one of the street parties that take over entire neighborhoods during Carnaval. Four hours inside the thing most travelers only see from the edges. Costumes, brass bands, strangers who become dance partners for one song, glitter you did not apply appearing on your body anyway. Your guide knows which blocos are worth it, how to move with the crowd, and when to pull the group somewhere quieter for water and a breather. This is Carnaval’s last big day, so the city gives it everything.

After a chance to reset, the night keeps going with a bars and bites tour through Santa Teresa and the city center. Botecos with 80 years of history, cold chopp, and the kind of bar where the owner still argues about samba schools.

Yes, it’s a big day. It’s also Valentine’s Day, and you’ll be spending it exactly how you want: at the world’s biggest party with other women who didn’t wait around for a plus-one.

Meals: breakfast & drinks and snacks

Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the streets of Santa Teresa.

After breakfast, today is a full day out exploring the city’s most legendary landmarks, but not in the way you’d expect. Your guide takes a genuinely historical approach to what could easily be a checklist tour, so every view comes with a story and every stop has real context behind it.

You’ll visit Christ the Redeemer, standing watch over the city from the top of Corcovado Mountain, before heading to Sugarloaf Mountain for sweeping panoramic views of Rio’s coastline, bays, and neighborhoods laid out below you. The day also takes you through Rio’s city center and into the bohemian streets of Santa Teresa, the hillside neighborhood of artists, colonial architecture, and the kind of slow, creative energy that feels like a different city entirely.

The evening is free. Wander, eat, explore, or simply sit somewhere with a view and let the day settle.

Regina Tchelly at Favela Orgânica in Morro da Babilônia.

A cooking class with Regina Tchelly at Favela Orgânica in Morro da Babilônia.

A free morning, and by now you know what to do with it. Beach, coffee, that shop you walked past twice. Rio after Carnaval has a softer rhythm, and you’ll feel the city exhale a little.

The afternoon is the trip’s quiet showstopper. Private transfers take you up to Morro da Babilônia, a hillside favela community above Copacabana, for a cooking class with Regina Tchelly. She’s an award-winning chef and the founder of Favela Orgânica, a project that started with almost nothing and turned into a movement: cooking that wastes nothing, feeds everyone, and proves great food doesn’t come from fancy kitchens.

You’ll cook together, eat together, and hear her story from her. Stems, peels, and parts most kitchens throw away become the best meal of your trip.

Your last night is open maybe to grab one more caipirinha with a view.

Meals: breakfast

Breakfast, goodbyes, and check out.

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Rio. Check out and take the city with you, the music still in your feet, the taste of a caipirinha somewhere in your memory, and a group of women you didn’t know six days ago who now feel like old friends.
