Most countries, including the USA, are able to visit Jordan and Egypt with a tourist visa upon arrival. In fact, we recommend getting the visa on arrival because the process is straightforward and fast.
When our group transfers to Egypt, our airport escort will walk you through the entire process. All you need to get an Egyptian visa on arrival is your passport, $25 USD in cash, and your negative COVID test.
If you are not a US passport holder, please check to be sure your country qualifies for a visa upon arrival, but the majority of them do.

These are the most current Covid regulations that we have for Egypt. Keep in mind these may change on short notice, so please be alert for more communication from SoFe.
- All people traveling to Egypt (regardless of vaccination status) must be in possession of a negative Covid-19 test. You must take the test within 72 hours of your flight departure time.
- Additionally, Egypt requests that vaccination cards be digitalized into a QR code. You may need to show this throughout the tour at museums, restaurants etc. Please do this before you leave your home country. Here is a guide for assistance in converting your vaccine card to a QR code.
- Mask wearing indoors in Egypt is currently mandatory and will be enforced, even if you are fully vaccinated. The Egyptian government requires medical masks, including N95, FPP2 and standard medical masks. Please bring several with you as you will be required to wear them when inside.
- All people traveling to Jordan (regardless of vaccination status) must be in possession of a negative Covid-19 antigen PCR test. You must take the test within 72 hours of your flight departure time.
- All travelers to Jordan must fill out this compulsory check-in form, where you will be required to attach your negative PCR test results. Once you submit this form, you will be emailed a QR code, which you will need to show when checking into your flight and going through customs.

What our travelers say
This tour was epic in every way
“This was my 2nd solo trip with SoFe. I initially went to Bali and because that tour was so good I decided to go to Egypt meetup and I am so happy that I did. This tour was EPIC. I am even planning on going on this same tour again to experience it all over again!” Aihee R. | Egypt, December 2019
ABOVE AND BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS
“My favorite part of this Meetup Tour was meeting local people and doing projects with them. We painted pottery and did little mosaics, while talking to them about their life. It felt like we really got to know the culture and being able to relate with other women” Debbie, Jordan + Egypt December 2021
The Egypt SoFe trip was life-changing.
