Women only tour to Dahab
Dahab at a glance
Once a Bedouin fishing village, this little bit of beachy heaven is right on shores of the Red Sea and backed by desert, a contrast, giving your vacation a totally new atmosphere. Quaint restaurants line the rooftops along main street (no big chain hotels blocking the view here!), and time seems to slow down.
After 9 thrilling days ticking off all of Egypt’s bucket list sites, Dahab is the perfect way to round out your adventure. A few meals and the best activities are included, and there is a lot of time to relax and wander solo or with new friends. We designed Dahab to be an add-on to the main tour, and is offered at the end of every Egypt Meetup Tour. If you’re looking only for a few chill days with us in Dahab, that’s okay too.

Let's Jet to Dahab
This morning, we trade busy Cairo for Dahab, a little bit of paradise on the Red Sea. The flight is short, and once we get to our hotel, we will have a delicious local lunch waiting for us. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, perhaps by the pool!
Snorkel the Blue Hole
A short drive away is a marine wonderland – The Blue Hole of the Red Sea. This area is teeming with brightly colored fish and beautiful corals. We’ll depart in the afternoon, leaving time to sleep in or catch some earlier dives. The evening is free, so maybe it’s time for a nighttime bonfire under the stars at your hotel.
There is no shortage of things to do in and around Dahab, so you have some options today. The hotel is a beautiful place to relax in the sun by the pool and grab some of the best food around (seriously, the restaurant has some of the best Egyptian food we’ve had). If you have always wanted to get scuba certified, we have left you plenty of time on this trip to take advantage of the affordable rates and prime sea life. One of the most popular treks in Egypt is nearby too – an overnight hike up Mount Sinai to see the sunrise. Just ask your guide to help you arrange your activities for the day.
4X4 and a Bedouin experience
No visit to the Egyptian desert is complete without a day riding a 4×4 in across the sand dunes! Get deeper into the desert stopping for lunch, coffee, and incredible views. By the evening, we will land at a Bedouin desert camp for a relaxing evening full of amazing food, epic stargazing, and new local friends.
Back to Cairo
After breakfast, back to the airport we go to catch a flight to Cairo. Our adventure ends at the Cairo airport where you will be able to hop on your flight home or wherever your journey takes you next.
What About The Rest of Egypt?
Dahab is the perfect group getaway for a further flung corner of the country, but no trip to Egypt is complete without marveling at the Pyramids of Giza, taking a boat ride to Philae Temple, seeing the sunset on the Nile, and so much more. If you haven’t already, add The Egypt Meetup Tour to your travel plans, and you will experience the very best of Egypt with new solo traveling friends.
A bit about The Egypt Meetup Tour:
If booking both The Egypt Meetup Tour as well as The Dahab Meetup Tour, book separately as two separate tours. You can add Dahab to your Egypt booking ups to 60 days before departure, depending on availability.
What better way to stay in Dahab than in a lovely boutique hotel with a pool overlooking the Red Sea? We’ll tell you how – with an in-house restaurant offering casual and incredible local food. We love the bonfires under a star studded sky, the fresh Red Sea breeze, and sunny poolside afternoons followed by a long nap.
Cairo International Airport (CAI)
If you are adding this tour onto The Egypt Meetup Tour, we will transfer you from the last hotel to the airport for your flight to Sharm el-Sheik in the morning of Day 9. If joining Dahab without the Egypt tour, then please plan on meeting us at the Steigenberger Tharir Hotel in Cairo in the morning of Day 1. The time will be determined after booking. Please plan to arrive a day early to not miss the start time.
Cairo International Airport (CAI)
Included in this tour is a flight back to Cairo. We can not schedule this flight for any alternate dates or times than what is included on the last day of the Dahab tour. If leaving from the Cairo Airport, please make sure your flights leave no earlier than 5pm on the last day.

Most countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia, are able to get a visa upon arrival to Egypt. In fact, we recommend getting it on arrival because the process is straightforward and fast. With the VIP service that we have arranged for our travelers on day 1, our airport escort will walk you through the entire process.
All you need to get an Egyptian visa on arrival is your passport and $25 USD in cash. The rest is super simple. If you are not a US passport holder, please check to be sure your country qualifies for a visa upon arrival, but the majority of them do.
The itinerary is subject to change due for any reason – weather, unexpected cancellations, impromptu local opportunities, or surprise additions.
All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions.
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory or you may be refused to join the tour. See our guide for help choosing a plan.
The baggage allowance for our internal flights is 1 check in suitcase that is a maximum of 30lbs/15kg and 1 carryon. An additional fee applies to bags that exceeds this.
What our travelers say
This tour was epic in every way
“This was my 2nd solo trip with SoFe. I initially went to Bali and because that tour was so good I decided to go to Egypt meetup and I am so happy that I did. This tour was EPIC. I am even planning on going on this same tour again to experience it all over again!” Aihee R. | Egypt & Bali
This trip was everything and more
“I’m 100% going to book another trip, although this one will be hard to beat. This trip was everything and more I could ever ask for. I saw places I only ever saw in photos, experienced “Egyptian Hospitality” first hand, had stereotypes of the middle east shattered, watched the sunrise over the Sahara, swam in the Nile AND the Red Sea, and danced to the sound of Nubian drums on a felucca at sunset on the Nile. How could a girl ever ask for more? This trip was the perfect blend of history and education, culture, great food, bucket list items completed, and topped off with even better company.” Dani B. | Egypt
The Egypt SoFe trip was life-changing.
“The Egypt SoFe trip was life-changing, truly! From our amazing egyptologist guide, Sameh, to the sites and wonders of Egypt, and the amazing women that I got to meet and travel with, it was extraordinary. The experiences shared and the memories made are unparalleled and will hold a place in my heart forever. Thank you SoFe Traveler Network.” Darlyne M. | Egypt
